OSO chilli Sauce has been in my family for well over 30 years but was first made for sale in 2014 following a holiday with friends.
I moved to the UK in 2006 and instinctively searched everywhere for authentic chilli sauce made with fresh chilli peppers but found none. This led me to replicate my family recipe and because of how it is cooked, it keeps for months! Friends then started making requests and it soon became a signature sauce at various events.
Fast forward to December 2013. I travelled outside the UK with friends and was determined to enjoy every bit of our holiday, food inclusive. My friends and I were worried that the local food in our destination might not be spicy and tasty enough, so I decided to take some of my homemade chilli sauce along. That made all the difference and ensured our holiday experience was unforgettable!
Touchdown UK and OSO chilli sauce was born as a business idea.
Fast forward 2017, after hosting supper clubs and doing some demos, I resigned from my successful nursing career to focus on cooking and OSO Cook was born. I have always loved cooking and being a Chef has allowed me to introduce people to authentic and traditional Nigerian cooking.
